The Dutch National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has included NIS2 Supply Chain in its information resources on supply chain security and now refers directly to the certification scheme from several of its web pages.
These references give NIS2 Supply Chain a recognised place within the information provided by the NCSC to organisations seeking to strengthen the cyber resilience of their supply chains. The relevant pages link directly to www.nis2supplychain.eu.
The references have been added to pages that help organisations fulfil their responsibilities for securing suppliers and managing cyber risks throughout the supply chain. This aligns directly with the principles of the Dutch Cybersecurity Act (Cyberbeveiligingswet – Cbw), under which organisations covered by the legislation must implement appropriate technical, organisational and supply chain security measures.
For suppliers, this means they will increasingly be required to demonstrate that their cyber security arrangements are in order. An independent certification scheme provides customers with a practical means of assessing suppliers, while enabling suppliers to demonstrate, in a consistent and standardised manner, that they have implemented appropriate cyber security measures.
